Canterbury Tales

  CANTERBURY TALES
For the Knight I would have to use Ray Winstone that played Beowulf in a film. The reason I would choose him because the prologue mentions that“There was a Knight, a most distinguished man, who from the day on which he first began to ride abroad had followed chivalry, truth honor, generousness and courtesy.”I believe this quote relates to Ray Winston as Beowulf simple because the knight and he stood for the same thing they were both willing to fight for their country on others land. He was also a generous men he didn’t mind giving to the people.  In that movie we can see that Beowulf(Ray Winstone) is a good fighter, he shares the things he have received from war with the people in the village. Also in the Prologue it talks about how great of a warrior he was, he traveled and fought near the Mediterranean coast which was near the same grounds Beowulf was at war. He also went to Denmark to save the people there.
For the Doctor, I would choose Adam Sandler. Adam Sandler has played in a movie called “Just go with it “as a doctor. The reason I am choosing Adam Sandler is because the prologue talks about his relationship with the pharmacist how they worked together and made money. “All his apothecaries in a tribe were ready with the drugs he would prescribe and each made money from the other's guide.” Also the prologue mentions that the Doctor is really good at his job, and he have his ways of talking to the patients to get them to go see the pharmacist. He also wasn’t very relidious as in following the bible, so this is a perfect fit for Adam Sandler. In “Just go with it”, his role was kind of the same.

I’m chosen you use Master P from the movie “I Got the Hook Up” to play the Pardoner. One of the Pardoner’s favorite sayings is “Radix malorum est cupiditas” which means in English the Greed for money. Master P was just as money hungry as the Pardoner. He would do, tell and sell anything to make a little money. He wasn’t really a stand in front of the crowd, tell a bunch of fibs and hope to receive money type person he was more of a set up shop person. He had his own cellular phone company with bad service but lied to the buyers saying the service was good. He and the Pardoner is similar in quite a bit of ways that’s why I chose Master P.
